I just wanted to remind you that we’re having our December AZPOSH meeting in the form of a Holiday Happy Hour this year.
The Holiday Happy Hour will be this Wednesday December 18th around 4PM at Macayo’s on Central and Indian School - 4001 N Central Ave, Phoenix. I have reserved a couple tables so when you get there, ask for ‘Lindsey’. I hope everyone can make it for this social outing with your fellow PowerShellers!
If I don’t see you, I hope you have a wonder holiday season. Make sure you get some rest, because we’ll be starting 2014 off with Don Jones on Wednesday January 15th at 6pm! I’m so excited that Don can join us again, and I am really excited that we could catch him while he’ll be in Phoenix.
See you Wednesday! Thanks, Lindsey
I think it’s safe to say that if you are reading this, you got through Thanksgiving alive :). Now on to Hanukkah, Christmas, New Years, and all the other holidays we celebrate!
I want to remind everyone that we’re not having a traditional December meeting this week but rather a holiday happy hour celebration. It will be December 18th around 4PM at Macayo’s on Central and Indian School. I have reserved a couple tables. If this time/location doesn’t work for you, let me know. I’m flexible and can do whatever everyone wants.
Just a reminder that we’re having our November meeting this Wednesday, 11/6 from 3:30 to 5pm Arizona Time (-7). I misspoke in the last update about our presenter being local; Daniel St. Jean will present remote via Lync. However, since MVP Systems Software is a Microsoft Partner, I have extra things to giveaway at the meeting so make sure you come down to Microsoft’s Tempe office http://www.azposh.com/map/. If you cannot attend in person, you can Join the online meeting.
Either way, you don’t want to miss out on this presentation!! Daniel is going to present information on scheduling and automating with PowerShell. As we all know, it is important to know when and under conditions to run your script in addition to the script itself.
Hope to see everyone tomorrow!
We will be having our November meeting next Wednesday, 11/6 from 3:30 to 5pm Arizona Time (-7). It is a special meeting, because our presenter is local and will be at the Microsoft Tempe office to present in person.
Our presenter is Daniel St. Jean, a Senior Support Engineer at MVP Systems Software and brings more than 15 years of enterprise systems management expertise to the customers he supports. Daniel has extensive knowledge of Windows, Linux, and UNIX and has worked with a wide range of applications like SAP, JDE, Oracle and MS Dynamics.
Since MVP is a Microsoft partner, I was able to get a few extra giveaways, so make sure you come out next Wednesday.
Hope everyone has a great weekend, and I’ll see you next Wednesday!
This week, Wednesday 8/7/13 from 3:30pm to 5pm Arizona time, Adam Driscoll is presenting to AZPOSH. I am so excited, because this is our first discussion on PowerShell V4 and what’s coming. Adam is a Microsoft PowerShell MVP and very active in the PowerShell community.
As always, if you bring someone new to the meeting, you will get a small present. I also have some giveaways from Sapien Technologies and Microsoft if you’re in the office. If you cannot come to Microsoft’s Tempe Office, you can Join the online meeting by clicking the link.
Also, don’t forget to enter for the TechMentor conference pass giveaway http://www.azposh.com/giveaway/. If you are interested in buying your ticket and some of the packages available, make sure you use the AZPOSH User Group promo code and link http://bit.ly/TMVG5_Reg - promo code TMVG5.
See everyone on Wednesday!!
