Hello everyone,

Jeffery Hicks, PowerShell MVP, trainer, and author, will be in Phoenix Wednesday, March 19 and has offered to present to the group.  We will be meeting at the Microsoft building in Tempe from 6:00pm to 7:30pm.  I am trying to arrange for pizza but will let everyone know as it gets a little closer.

Just remember – no meeting this week.  It has been rescheduled for Wednesday, March 19th from 6:00pm to 7:30pm Arizona time (-7).

October – How to Write a Bad PowerShell Script

You did read that correctly… Our topic for October is ‘How to Write a Bad PowerShell Script’!!

While some may say “a PowerShell script is nothing more than the same commands you can run at a prompt, how hard can it be?”  Actually, it turns out creating an effective PowerShell script is much more than simple copying and pasting.  So not only are we going to explore what makes a “bad” PowerShell script, we’re also going to hear suggestions on developing effective PowerShell scripts before you write a single command.

Our presenter this month is Jeffery Hicks; he is a Microsoft PowerShell MVP and has authored and coauthored many books including the latest “PowerShell in Depth: An Administrator’s Guide”.  This is going to be a great discussion and I hope everyone can join!  We will be meeting next Wednesday 10/3/12 from 3:30 to 5PM at Microsoft’s Tempe Office.  If you cannot join in person, we will have Lync going also so you can join the meeting online

Join online meeting

Thank you!
